About the album

Tristan played a core role in the production of Blue Hour’s first album having worked as principle performer and producer of the project. While working towards a Master of Arts degree at York University in Toronto, Tristan collaborated closely with David Piluso and Damien De Oliveira on bringing this contemporary fusion project to fruition.

In addition to Tristan’s extensive work with his core keyboard performance on the recording, he helped shape the pieces through his input on arrangement and harmony. St-Pierre was heavily involved with production having carefully selected his sounds and with his input throughout the mixing process.

The album received notable success including being played regularly on highly regarded radio stations including JazzFM91, CBC Radio, landed a place on the Bandcamp charts for the jazz and fusion genres, have been added to several high profile playlists, and ‘Refraction’ was selected to be used as hold music for the city of Toronto’s 311 phone service.
